Llandudno is the undisputed ‘Queen’ of the Welsh resorts and retains its period dignity. Llandudno’s sense of harmony extends to its geography. Between 25th and 27th October, visitors can enjoy the Conwy Food Festival. Set within the world heritage site of Conwy, with its 13th century castle, town walls and working quayside backdrop, this is no ordinary food festival! The festival includes music, art, farming and showcases Wales’ makers, artists and those using traditional building skills. Conwy is also the last rake-only mussel fishing community in the UK and the Feast is held in October to coincide with their season.


The Welsh National Opera will visit Llandudno at Venue Cymru with five dates in October and November and then a further four dates in March 2020.


This winter, Bodysgallen Hall will unveil History Tours of the historic house. The house and gardens at Bodysgallen Hall have a long and interesting past dating back to the 13th century when it is believed to have begun as a watchtower to Conwy Castle. Discover more about the distinguished history of the house and garden by joining the team on one of the tours, with a two-course lunch to follow accompanied by a glass of wine, coffee/tea and Bodysgallen fudge priced at £35 per person. Dates in October and November.


Bodysgallen’s gardening team, led by Head gardener Robert Owen will host several Gardening Tours providing an insight into the on-going restoration that continues in the gardens. On Friday 20th September it is ‘Harvest Time’, then on Friday 25th October it is ‘Nature’s Palette – Colour in Leaves and Berries’. Several dates in 2020 also available. The garden tours will commence with coffee on arrival at 11.00am prompt in the Drawing Room. Following the tour, which will begin at 11.15am, a two-course lunch including a glass of wine, coffee or tea and home-made Bodysgallen fudge, will be served in the South Dining Room. The price is £38 per person. RHS members £30.40.


Bodysgallen Hall have Wales’s greatest gardens in a hotel. Here guests can explore over 220 acres. Start by discovering the Lily Pond, then moving over to the rare C17th Parterre, followed by time in the Rose Garden, then discovering the Obelisk and Gothic Folly. Guests can also admire uninterrupted stunning views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle.


Bodysgallen Hall is home to 31 spacious bedrooms split between the house and cottage suites. Each of the bedrooms has been individually furnished in a traditional style and decorated with antique furniture and works of art enjoying glorious views over Bodysgallen’s parkland and gardens. Several cottage suites benefit from their very own private gardens. The hotel is also home to an award-winning 3 AA Rosette restaurant and fantastic spa with an indoor swimming pool.
